The race on Sunday April 23, 2023 @10am has been canceled. Check back in 2024.
This is a fast and flat course on closed roads. Great place to PR!
The race is student-organized and will provide our student event team with hands-on planning and practical experiences. The race supports and is co-sponsored by two of Niagara’s student organizations: NU Outdoors Club and NU Sports Management Association.

START/FINISH
Race organizers have designed a great 5K course that will take runners through the beautiful NU campus, and the NY State Parks Reservoir Park paved trails before returning to the finish line in front of the Kiernan Center in the heart of the campus (VIEW MAP)
There will be one water station located along the course and bottled water will be provided to all participants at the finish line.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open until the start of the race. Race day registration and packet pickup will take place inside the Kiernan Recreation Center from 9am until the start of the race at 10:00am. Register before 4/17/23 to be guaranteed to receive one of our official Power of Niagara 5K t-shirts! Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Paper registration forms can also be downloaded, but must be received by deadline shown to receive t-shirt.

$20 through 4/16/23 then $25 until race day
POST RACE CELEBRATION
Join us after the race for the post race celebration featuring light food, snacks, beverages, music, and the awards ceremony.
PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking in the O'Shea lot just a short walk from the finish line.
AGE GROUPS
1st place overall male and female finishers along with age group recognition to the top three male and female runners in each of the following age groups:
14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.
There will also be awards presented to the fastest male/female Niagara students, alumni, and faculty/staff!

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
